I’ve Created a Muenster Burger

Mold, morgues, Jamaican-Italian food, and model making — What a weekend!

When a rash of green mold spreads through the restaurant, the Belchers find themselves with an unexpected two-day vacation while the entire building is tented.

In swoops “Uncle Mort” the friendly next-door neighbor, who just so happens to run a funeral home. The family crashes at his place for the weekend, where things get off to a rocky start for Bob and Linda — Bob immediately puts on his lazy pants and starts working on a model of the bus from Speed.

Louise orchestrates an opportunity to get all three adults out of the house, and then the real fun begins. The kids explore the mortuary, where Louise pulls a couple of pranks on her siblings. Meanwhile, Bob returns from Jimmy Pesto’s — drunk — and naps in a coffin.

The kids freak, thinking he is a zombie, and try to cremate him. The close call with death gives Bob a renewed purpose, and the night ends with him dancing at Pesto’s without any pants on. Bonus win: He and Linda find green mold on Pesto’s wall as well! The Circle of Mold is complete.

Review

The I’ve Created a Muenster Burger is an 80/20 beef patty nestled inside a Brioche bun. This is our 15th Burger — hooray! — and without a doubt Brioche buns are the best buns. Disagree? Fight me!

On top of that patty is a layer of Muenster cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and another layer of cheese, and some ketchup. Underneath the patty — what?! — is some lettuce, we went with Boston lettuce, as an ode to Mookie Betts and Chris Sale. #TheGreenMonster #FantasyBaseball

Folks, this is a great burger. It is a nice twist on the mushroom and Swiss we all know and love. The lettuce gives it a nice crunch, the mushrooms are oh so sautéed, and the cheese is melty and gooey.

And here is the kicker — the ketchup is the sneaky winner of this one! Your taste buds work their way through each level, and right when you think you’ve gotten it all, in comes this kick of tangy tomato. I don’t say this often, but thanks ketchup!
